The Earth Journal was created in Minnesota on April 1, 1971 -- about the same time as the emergence of Green Peace and the Mother Earth News. Widely regarded as the best publication of the "Green Quake" of the 1970's, the Earth Journal featured many photographers and writers who later gained local or national renown.

Products and Services

The Minnesota Geographic Society, parent organization of the Earth Journal will celebrate its 40th anniversary with a special publication in 2011.
